| President Barack Obama's chief intellectual property adviser has stepped down from her post after more than three years on the job. Victoria Espinel, who was the first U.S. intellectual property enforcement coordinator, left Friday, an Office of Management and Budget spokesman said. A new job for Espinel wasn't immediately disclosed. Espinel could be one of the top candidates to head BSA | The Software Alliance after Robert Holleyman stepped down as its chief executive officer earlier this year, according to news reports (here and here). Randolph Court, a spokesman for the software industry trade group, wrote in an email that his organization "didn't have any news to report." Affiliate publication Corporate Counsel has more. | |||
