Ex-Defense Dept. Counsel Goes In-House at Northrop Grumman

Defense contractor Northrop Grumman has brought in Harvey Nathan, a former U.S. Defense Department counsel, to serve as its lead lawyer for government contracting and lobbying. Nathan, whose career has included nearly three decades at Defense, joined Northrop as its assistant general counsel for government contracts and government relations, the company announced Tuesday. He is based at the firm's headquarters in Falls Church, Va., a Washington, D.C., suburb. Nathan succeeds Doug Larsen, who left Northrop earlier this year to serve as general counsel for the government group of construction company Fluor Corp.
