As Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. tries to put the leaks scandal brought by its former employee, Edward Snowden, behind it, the government contractor will have AECOM Technology Corp. General Counsel Nancy Laben as its new top lawyer. Laben will become Booz Allen's executive vice president and general counsel on September 30, the company announced Wednesday. She will replace Robert Osborne, who is retiring after three years at Booz Allen. Laben will work out of the company's headquarters in McLean, Virginia, a Washington, D.C., suburb. Following Snowden's disclosures earlier this year about the National Security Agency's extensive data-gathering operations, U.S. authorities launched an investigation into the former Booz Allen employee. Snowden, who worked for Booz Allen at an NSA facility in Hawaii, now is wanted on espionage charges in the United States and living in Russia after the country granted him temporary asylum.
